Still in 2 minds about electric vehicles ? May be Bill Gates can help you.
Bill Gates can certainly afford to buy any car he wants. But the Microsoft co-founder bought the new, fully electric Porsche Taycan as he told about it in an interview conducted with YouTuber and noted electric car enthusiast Marques Brownlee. To tell you the truth, it’s not surprising that Bill Gates chose Porsche as his first fully electric car. Indeed, he has a deep love of the Porsche brand. He's one of the few owners of the legendary 959 Supercar and was instrumental in passing the US's "show and display" legislation so he could actually own one! He has also owned several 911s of various different generations. In addition, during the interview Gates pointed out that electric cars represent only 3% of the world's car fleet and that in the near future they will have to reach every country across the globe. The figures put forward by Gates show that developed countries are better equipped. Norway, for example, is the first country with just over 31% of its fleet switched to renewable energy. And conversely, he explains that China has only 2% of its car fleet switched to electricity, and that this is the case in many developing countries. However, Microsoft cofounder highlighted Tesla as a firm that had helped to grow the market.  « And certainly Tesla, if you had to name one company that's helped drive that, it's them », he said.
