Yesterday @monasia_association_mc MonAsia association attended Diem ( the anticipated #Libra stablecoin) pre-launch discussion, moderated by Abha in Patel, Senior Economist, Head of Fintech research, #OMFIF. Christian Catalini, co-creator of Libra and Head Economist at Calibra ( Facebook 2018 to Present) gave a speech on the launch of Dieu outlining the stablecoin’s key features and uses, regulatory response and associated risks. This talk was followed by a closed round table discussion where we were able to ask questions about rebranded Libra which is sure to bring many benefits to current payment systems.
