After two years of virtual, we were pleased to join it in Lisbon and meet so many delegates and speakers from across the globe for these timely and relevant conversations. A boost of knowledge transfer, energy and information sharing and incredible networking! Just imagine - more than 1,500 #attendees and 170 #speakers, all of them dedicated to ocean #economist conservation. We were thrilled to attend a panel by Vice-president and chief executive Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation Oliver Wenden @fondationprincealbert2. He participated in two panels discussing the development of #NBS to address global climate challenges and building blue skills. It was a moment of understanding the essence of interconnection and its importance for Nature. As Ambassador Peter Thomson, @oceanenvoy UNSG’s Special Envoy for the Ocean, said in his opening remarks during the World Ocean Summit, « We are all connected. No man is an island, connected as we are to our genetic inheritances and our place in societies and economies through our families, communities and nations. But most importantly, we are connected to Nature… ».
Consequently, ocean health is vital for the planet's health as well as for one of the human beings. So, it’s up to us to choose what kind of future we wish to see and take the first steps towards reconnection!
