The MonAsia association has passionate athletes among its ranks and the fact that this weekend, the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolis is in the spotlight, since it welcomes the start and finish of the first two stages of the 107th edition of the mythical Tour de France, did not leave us indifferent.
At MonAsia, we believe that sport plays a crucial role as a vehicle for the integration of people into host communities and also as an essential tool for building peace and understanding between people. This is why we support many sporting events.
Traditionally, our President Mr. Nefedov along with our colleagues Jean Huan and Alexandre organise every year an ascent by bike of one of the Cols in the Monegasque hinterland. This year unfortunately, given the situation related to Covid-19, our friends from Asia could not participate, but we are sure that we will be able to count them among us next year!
Nice, by hosting the Grand Départ of the Tour de France in 2020, continues to write its history with cycling, which began in 1906 with the first visit to the Grande Boucle. So, for the occasion, we have chosen to try one of its stages.
Mikhaïl NEFEDOV
Président de l'association
